Château de Beaucastel
Rhône Meridionaux
The Château de Beaucastel is a key figure of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation in the Rhône valley. Founded in Courthézon in the 16th century, this estate truly flourished in the 20th century, thanks to the tireless efforts of the Perrin family. Certified organic since 1953, their 100 hectares of vineyards are now cultivated using biodynamic methods. More than a wine growing method, this philosophy allows them to create authentic, balanced and refined wines while respecting the land and the terroir. The pebbly soils are cultivated without the use of chemical fertilizers, which were replaced by natural compost that maintains the vines' microbiological balance.
One of the few winegrowers to grow all 13 of the appellation's authorized grape varieties, The Perrin family's vintages are perfect representations of the terroir on which they are grown.
